Sustainability in the context of the G20 summit refers to the efforts of the group of 20 major economies (which includes 19 countries and the European Union) to promote economic growth while also ensuring environmental sustainability and social inclusion.
G20 member countries recognize that economic growth and sustainability are interdependent and have committed to taking coordinated action to achieve sustainable development. 
The G20 has also established various initiatives and frameworks to promote sustainability, such as the Sustainable Finance Study Group, the Global Infrastructure Connectivity Alliance, and the G20 Energy Efficiency Action Plan. These efforts aim to ensure that economic growth is achieved in a way that is environmentally and socially responsible, and that benefits all people, including future generations.

The problem statement for the hackathon is to identify innovative solutions that can address the following challenges:
1)Sustainable transportation: Develop a solution that promotes sustainable transportation, such as a mobile application that encourages carpooling, promotes the use of public transportation, or provides incentives for cycling and walking.
2)Sustainable agriculture: Develop a solution that promotes sustainable agriculture by reducing the environmental impact of food production, improving food security, or promoting sustainable farming practices.
3)Clean energy: Create a solution that promotes clean energy, such as a renewable energy management system that allows users to monitor and optimize their energy consumption.
4)Sustainable consumption: Develop a solution that promotes sustainable consumption, such as an app that helps users make more sustainable purchasing decisions by providing information on the environmental and social impact of products.
5)Waste reduction: Create a solution that reduces waste, such as a smart bin that sorts and recycles waste or an app that connects consumers with businesses that offer package-free products.

Criteria for the solutions presented ➖
Innovation: The solution should be novel and innovative, providing a new or improved way of addressing the problem.
Feasibility: The solution should be technically feasible, economically viable, and scalable, with a clear plan for implementation.
Impact: The solution should have a measurable impact on the problem it seeks to address, and the impact should be significant and sustainable.
Most important of all the solutions presented should show originality and should not be plagiarized from other sources.


Sustainability20

Education is the foundation of a country's growth and development. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the education system, with schools and universities forced to shift to online modes of learning. This sudden shift has exposed several challenges that need to be addressed urgently to ensure that every student has access to quality education. 

The problem statement for the hackathon is to identify innovative solutions that can address the following challenges:
Access to education: How can we ensure that every student, irrespective of their location, socio-economic background, and physical ability, has access to quality education?
Digital literacy: How can we promote digital literacy among students, teachers, and parents to ensure that they can effectively use digital devices and technologies for education?
Personalized learning: How can we use technology to personalize learning and cater to the unique needs and learning styles of individual students?
Teacher training and development: How can we provide teachers with the necessary training and development opportunities to effectively use technology for teaching and improve their teaching skills?
Addressing mental health concerns: With the prolonged disruption in the education system, students are facing increased stress and anxiety. How can we support students' mental health and well-being during these challenging times?

The solutions developed during the hackathon should be feasible, scalable, and sustainable, with the potential to impact a large number of students and teachers. The solutions should also take into account the diverse cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic contexts in which they will be implemented.


Education20

The Indian healthcare landscape has become one of the largest sectors of the Indian economy, in terms of both revenue and employment.

As India looks to usher in the new age of development and work towards becoming an economic superpower, it needs to resolve the shortcomings of its healthcare sector and work towards providing accessible, affordable and quality healthcare for all its citizens.

As the chair of the G20 Presidency, India aims to consolidate health priorities, while achieving convergence in discussions for multilateral health cooperation.

VIHAAN 6.0’s Healthcare20 track offers a chance to all the participants to address the various challenges and critical areas identified for strengthening and integrated action in the Health Working Group (HWG) meetings held under G20 Summit.  

The problem statement may be based on, but not limited to, the following challenges: 
1. The various obstacles faced by the healthcare sector including a shortage of efficient and trained manpower, unmanageable patient load, inadequate fund allocation and deficient infrastructure.
2. The potential of AI to revolutionize healthcare by improving the accuracy and speed of diagnosis through real-time monitoring, contact tracing and predictive modelling, drug development and medical research.
3. Strengthening Cooperation in the Pharmaceutical Sector and provision of affordable Medical Countermeasures including vaccines, therapeutics and diagnostics.
4. Challenges preventing the scale-up of Virtual Healthcare (VHC) include technical limitations, eliminating cultural and mindset barriers, interoperability and data security.

Fintech, or financial technology, is playing an increasingly significant role in the global economy and is of great relevance to the G20 summit. The G20 is a forum for the world's largest economies to come together and address global economic challenges, and fintech is a key area where these challenges are being addressed.

All participants have the opportunity to address the numerous issues and crucial areas highlighted for strengthening and coordinated action in the fintech sessions held in conjunction with the G20 Summit through VIHAAN 6.0's Fintech20 track.
Financial Inclusion: Develop fintech solutions that can help bring more people into the formal financial system, particularly in emerging markets. This could include creating digital wallets, developing alternative credit scoring models, or building platforms that enable peer-to-peer lending.
Regulatory Compliance: Explore ways to use fintech to improve regulatory compliance and reduce the risk of financial crimes such as money laundering and terrorist financing. This could include developing new know-your-customer (KYC) technologies, building better anti-money laundering (AML) systems, or using blockchain to increase transparency in financial transactions.
Digital Payments: Develop innovative solutions for digital payments, such as mobile payments, e-commerce platforms, and other digital financial services. This could include using blockchain to improve the speed and security of payments, or building new platforms that enable seamless cross-border transactions.
Financial Stability: Use fintech to improve financial stability and reduce systemic risks. This could include developing new risk management tools, creating better stress testing models, or using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to analyze financial data and identify potential threats to the financial system.
Green Finance: Develop fintech solutions that can help accelerate the transition to a green economy. This could include building platforms that enable sustainable investing, creating new carbon offsetting systems, or developing technologies that can help reduce the environmental impact of financial institutions.


Overall, fintech is a significant and growing area of focus for the G20 summit, as it has the potential to transform the financial landscape and drive global economic growth. By working together to promote innovation, foster financial inclusion, and manage potential risks, ideas promoted in this hackathon can help fintech contribute to a more stable, prosperous, and equitable global economy.

VIHAAN 6.0's Tourism20 track provides a unique platform for participants to tackle the challenges faced by India's tourism industry, as India gears up to host the G20 summit in 2023. With India's presidency, there is an opportunity to address the key issues facing the industry and showcase innovative solutions to a large audience. The tourism industry in India is projected to generate over 24 billion dollars in revenue by 2025, highlighting the significance of this sector to the country's economy. 
For the hackathon, participants can choose from a range of problem statements, including:

1. Developing a platform or app that facilitates communication between tourists and locals, eliminating language barriers and improving the overall experience for travelers. Such a platform would also facilitate the protection of foreigners from scams and overpricing.
2. Promoting digitalization in the industry, by developing solutions that simplify bookings, payments, and navigation.
3. Implementation of virtual or augmented reality technology to create immersive experiences for tourists, providing them access to any location from the comfort of their homes. 
4. Develop a mobile application that promotes and facilitates green tourism by providing information on sustainable tourism practices, environmentally friendly accommodations, and eco-friendly activities.
5. Develop a platform that provides MSMEs in the tourism sector with easy access to funding, technology, and training to promote their growth and development.

The hackathon provides a unique opportunity to contribute to India's tourism industry's growth and sustainability while highlighting the country's potential as a leading tourism destination.

Rozgaar, meaning employment, is a critical issue in India, where sustainable employment opportunities are crucial. The government has launched initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India, and Skill India to promote entrepreneurship and innovation, create more job opportunities, and make India a global hub for business and trade. The VIHAAN 6.0 ROZGAAR20 track offers an opportunity for participants to address the challenges identified in the Employment Working Group (EWG) meetings held under the G20 Summit. Possible areas of focus for this track include
Job matching: With the rise of artificial intelligence and machine learning, there is an opportunity to create innovative platforms that match job seekers with suitable job openings based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. We are looking for solutions that can help streamline the job search process and increase the chances of finding the right job.
Upskilling and reskilling: As the job market evolves, it is important for job seekers to continually update their skills and knowledge to remain competitive. 
Remote work solutions: With the pandemic leading to a significant shift towards remote work, there is a growing need for tools and platforms that facilitate remote work and collaboration.
Gig economy solutions: The gig economy has been on the rise in recent years, and we are interested in solutions that can help gig workers access new opportunities and increase their earnings. This could include platforms that offer a range of services, from job matching to payment processing and insurance.
Entrepreneurship and small businesses: How can we support entrepreneurship and small businesses to create job opportunities and promote economic growth?

Welcome to the Culture track of our Hackathon. In this track, we encourage participants to explore and celebrate the diverse cultures that make up our country. As the current G20 presidency, India can leverage this platform to showcase the country’s diverse cultural heritage and support the development of innovative cultural enterprises. The Culture Working Group (CWG) in India has the vision to increase the growth of this industry and promote the creative economy. India’s G20 sector of Culture focuses on its various aspects, including, but not limited to, traditional art forms, cultural tourism, heritage preservation and cultural diplomacy. 
For this track, we are looking for innovative solutions that promote cultural exchange, preserve cultural heritage, or help individuals connect with their cultural roots. Some possible areas of focus include: 
Virtual cultural experiences: With the rise of virtual reality and other digital technologies, there are endless possibilities for creating immersive cultural experiences that can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
Language learning and translation: Language is a key element of culture, and learning a new language can open up a whole new world of understanding and connection. We are interested in solutions that make language learning more accessible and effective, or that facilitate communication across language barriers.
Cultural preservation: Many traditional cultural practices and artifacts are at risk of being lost or forgotten. We are looking for solutions that help to preserve and document cultural heritage, whether through digital archives, educational programs, or other means.
Community building: Finally, we believe that building strong communities is an essential part of preserving and celebrating culture. We encourage participants to think about ways to use technology to connect individuals with shared cultural backgrounds or to foster cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.

Welcome to the Open Innovation track of our Hackathon. As we know, practical experience and problem-solving are two of the most significant qualities for any engineering graduate to thrive in a career path. This track gives a venue for young aspiring engineers to nurture their skills and work on their creative ideas while also solving real-world industrial difficulties. We encourage participants to think out of the box to solve some of the pressing challenges in society.

Some possible areas of focus include: 
Autotech: Smart technology has revolutionized the auto marketplace, from in-car entertainment systems to self-driving vehicles and still there is much more to come. The potential for breakthrough innovation is still huge, and the NextGen teams can bring powerful curiosity and creativity to this category. Participants are encouraged to come up with software ideas such as real-time traffic monitoring systems, vehicle maintenance and pedestrian safety. 

Consumer tech: Consumer tech is a fast-growing space, and there are several ideas around this industry. For example, the use of natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide a predictive keyboard experience, AI-powered drone cameras, AI-based solutions to automate offices and homes and the use of AR/VR for the ultimate shopping experience.

Automation in Hazardous Jobs: There are some sectors and occupations that are more dangerous than others. Keeping workers safe or even protected in these jobs is a significant challenge. Participants are encouraged to come up with solutions using latest technologies to eliminate or reduce the risk and challenges or possibly build something that can replace workers in these sectors.

Sports tech: This track tends to bring together the best minds in technology and sports to solve real problems for athletes, coaches, sports companies, and fans and create the future of sports technology. Developers are encouraged to think of innovative solutions for performance tracking, sensors, video, and VR/AR to advance the science of sports and athletic performance.
